Step 1

Pick a game

Choose an available game and head to its real-world location. The game instructions will let you know the best place to start. Everything happens on-site, phone in hand.

Step 2

Follow the story

Each game is a sequence of clues and puzzles. Work through them in order, continuing the story - the location guides will show you where to go next.

Step 3

Solve & enter answers

Read the clue provided, then look around at the real-world location in front of you for the information to solve it. Type your answer into the app to unlock the next clue at the next location.

Step 4

Stuck? Use a hint

Every clue has hints available to give you a nudge in the right direction - the hints make the answer more obvious as you progress through them. If you're still stuck, there's a "Reveal Answer" button so you can continue with the game.

Step 5

Finish the adventure

Solve the final clue to complete the game and be ready to start the next one.

Frequently asked

Do I need to be at the location to play?

Technically no - photos and information are provided at each clue which is enough to solve the puzzle, in case the area is inaccessible at the time of your visit. That does mean the game can be solved from anywhere, although it's not nearly as much fun as getting out there and exploring the world around you.

Can I pause and come back later?

Yes definitely - your progress is saved, so simply close the app and pick up where you left off when you return. Or use the "Reveal Answer" option to quickly get through puzzles you've already completed (if you don't remember the answer) to get back to where you were up to.

What if my group is completely stuck?

Use the in-app hints on the current clue to help push you in the right direction. Each clue has several hints, which make the solution more obvious as you progress through them. If you're still stuck, there's a "Reveal Answer" option which gives you the answer without solving the puzzle - use this as a last resort.

Do games cost anything?

Every game lets you play the first few clues for free. If you enjoy it, unlock the full game with a one-off purchase. No subscriptions, and no ads.

Can more than one person play on the same phone?

Absolutely - it's built for teams. Gather your group, share screenshots around, and solve the clues together on the one device.

Why are some games discounted?

New games are offered at a discounted price for their first two months after release. Early players help us improve each game, so we'd love your feedback. Rate the game and leave a comment on the final screen, and we'll use it to fine-tune puzzles, hints and directions.
